Fat Loss

The sun is out and everyone has that summer feeling! But, like most people, the idea of walking down a beach next to scantily clad bronzed goddesses and ripped up beach bods fills me with terror!

In a bid to tone up I was on a mission to lose weight and I thought I'd share a few of my tips with you.......

  • Drink lots of good old H2O! People often confuse hunger for thirst. When you're dehydrated, fat cells become harder to break down. Enough water means that your body stops storing water reserves, allowing you to shed a few pounds and flush out all those toxins!
  • Switch from a carb based diet plan, to focus on more lean sources of protein such as egg whites, turkey and chicken breast. Why not try whey based protein powders? This is pure protein with little to no fat or carbs. Protein helps stabilise blood sugar levels by slowing the absorption of sugar in to the system. This in turn reduces hunger by lowering insulin levels and making it easier for the body to burn fat. Ultimately the body requires more energy to digest protein (thermic effect) than other foods and as a result you burn more calories after a protein meal.
  • To remove those last few stubborn pounds, fat burners can really help to boost your energy and surpress your appetite. Personally I would recommend the M Double You - Stack II. Along with a low calorie diet and regular exercise, they helped me to shift around a stone in a month!
