Caffeine Tablets

We at Bodybuilding Warehouse believe in taking caffeine! With the consumption of caffeine being estimated at 120,000 tonnes per year globally, it has become the world's most used psychoactive substance. This 120,000 tonnes equates to one serving of a caffeine beverage for every single person, every single day. With such a huge consumption, both recreational and medicinal, there has been a wealth of new studies that report the positive effects of consuming caffeine for endurance or bodybuilding.

The benefits of taking caffeine, particularly in tablet or capsule form rather than coffee, include: increased energy levels, a clearer thought process and a reduced perception of exertion. These benefits are thought to come from increasing activity in the regions of the brain that controls memory and attention. These benefits are particularly helpful when you feel run down and need to blast through a workout!

The overall result of taking an optimum amount of caffeine is an enhanced focus, which consequently helps athletes in sports where rapid reactions and quick thinking are necessary. Because caffeine also stimulates adipose tissue that is used for fat storage, it has potential to promote fat burning, so caffeine is definitely an aid to use when cutting for summer or for a bodybuilding competition.

Research shows that taking caffeine causes a significant elevation of blood fatty acid levels within 60 minutes, it's also likely that this rise from the adipose tissue as I discussed earlier, results in greater oxidation of the fat cells during subsequent exercise.

Whilst sedentary individuals are highly unlikely to be capable of burning the fat source in question, individuals who engage in strenuous physical activity like bodybuilding on a regular basis are more likely and able to do so.

Research also shows that when training in the realms of endurance, beneficial fat burning effects may occur. Many studies have shown an average improvement of 20% in time to exhaustion during sports like marathon running and long distance cycling. Keep in mind that these studies were done using caffeine capsules and not caffeine from coffee which comes in much smaller concentrations. The conclusion is that taking caffeine promotes prolonged activity when used by competitive athletes or just for recreational uses.

The studies show that during intense maximal strength exercises such as weight training, caffeine greatly encourages the release of calcium ions that enhance the force of the muscles in the process.

In terms of prolonged aerobic activity or cardio training, caffeine is shown to stimulate the release of fatty acids from the adipose tissues as I've said before but the other effect is that your muscles then become capable of using these acids for energy at an earlier stage than would be found otherwise. This greatly reduces the onset of fatigue as your limited stores of muscle glycogen and ATP are spared.

Some people criticise caffeine and say it irritates the lining of the stomach and intestine, ignorant to the fact that if sufficient fluid is consumed alongside the caffeine, the effects become negated. Still, it is definitely worth knowing that very high levels of caffeine can be very dangerous, causing impairment of motor control and tremors. It's also recommended that you do not take high amounts of caffeine, particularly any of these pills at night as this often leads to disturbed sleep and sometimes even insomnia.

It's blatantly obvious by now that caffeine is a positive ergogenic aid for whatever sport you do. Although the source you take your dose of caffeine is something you should definitely consider, as coffee contains diterpenes, fatty substances that have been shown to raise blood cholesterol significantly. As high levels of cholesterol increase your risk of developing cardiovascular disease, moderation is something I would advise you to take if you choose to obtain your caffeine solely from coffee.

Bodybuilding Warehouse Caffeine tablets contain pure high-grade caffeine. Each tablet contains a huge 200mgs, with 100 tablets per tub ensuring this is the best value supplement of its kind on the market. With these tablets there is no risk of raised cholesterol as you don't get the fatty acids or the diterpenes.
